First shots with a new Altair Astro Hypercam 183C

Getting to know the Hypercam 183C. There's a lot to learn and I have had issues but slowly getting to grips with it and the new processing techniques required to get the most out of it.

The sensor size is about 2/3 that of the DSLR so objects are bigger in the frame.

All these images were taken using the Sky Watcher 80ED DS Pro scope on the Celestron Advanced GT mount.

M27 - The Dumbbell Nebula.

NGC6888 - Crescent Nebula.

NGC6960 - Veil Nebula.

M57 - Ring Nebula.

M51 -Whirlpool Galaxy.

The first time imaging this target. It's nice and bright in a camera so required less processing than other objects.
